

Marketing and Communications Coordinator

About the Role
Hospice Malta is seeking a dynamic and committed Marketing and Communications Coordinator to lead and support the organisation’s strategic marketing and communications initiatives. This role is essential in building awareness around Hospice Malta’s mission, enhancing visibility across platforms, and ensuring consistent and meaningful engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Relations Officer (CRO) to deliver effective marketing campaigns, strengthen public relations, and support major fundraising and outreach initiatives. Sensitivity to the ethos and values of Hospice Malta is essential, as is the ability to communicate in a timely, professional, and informed manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate marketing and communications strategies to promote Hospice Malta’s services, values, and campaigns.
- Create, manage, and monitor engaging content across various platforms, including social media, website, newsletters, and printed materials.
- Support the development of photographic and video content for campaigns, storytelling, and events.
- Plan and implement integrated marketing and communications campaigns, with clear objectives and performance indicators.
- Coordinate internal communications to ensure alignment across departments and enhance organisational engagement.
- Work with the CRO on the promotion and execution of key events, including fundraising campaigns, community initiatives, and public awareness drives.
- Ensure all digital platforms (website and social media) are regularly updated with accurate and impactful content.
- Develop branded materials, presentations, and communication packs that reflect the organisation’s identity and message.
- Maintain brand consistency across all communication channels and ensure alignment with Hospice Malta’s values.
- Monitor campaign performance, collect feedback, and suggest improvements.
- Perform other communications and marketing-related tasks as required.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has a genuine passion for community outreach and social impact.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English, and is able to demonstrate experience in drafting press releases in both languages
- Has at least 3 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or public relations role.
- Possesses excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Can take initiative and work on a flexible schedule when needed.
- Is creative, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Works well independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Has strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., social media, CMS, email marketing) and is proficient in working with Microsoft Office and basic design/content creation tools
- Experience in PR strategy
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A recognised qualification at MQF Level 6 or higher in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media, or Public Relations.
- High proficiency in English and Maltese (C1 level – spoken and written).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends in order to assist in planned events and campaigns
- In possession of a clean driving license.
