Sales Executive

The group is distinguished and well established in the hospitality sector with its own branded db Seabank Resort and db San Antonio Hotel and within the leisure sector with its own branded Pearl Spa, Hardrock, and Starbucks development license and outlets, as well as its variety of established restaurants offering various cuisines, including Aki, Amami, Nine Lives, Blu Beach, Westreme, Sonora, Manta, Tora and Espiral.

We are currently looking for a Sales Executive to join our Sales Team.

db Hotels + Resorts are looking for a mature, responsible, and self-confident professional for the position of Sales Executive. In this position, you will be part of our key growth in sales strategies within the Leisure Groups/MICE market. The main responsibilities of the role include providing support in all activities related to the department, sending out quotes in the shortest time possible, inserting rooming lists in Room Master, issuing of in house Group Programs, issuing of pro-forma invoices. An excellent personal presentation and an outgoing personality are also essential for this role which may also include hosting clients for lunch/dinner and/or hotel show-a-rounds.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Ensure that clients and guests receive a pleasant and efficient personalised service, through a constant coordination with other departments
  • Ensure administrative work is up-to-date and maintain updated records in the operating system
  • Develop and maintain a high level of communication and effective relations with colleagues and clients
  • Ensure a proactive sales attitude and be aware of sales opportunities within the hotel
  • Assist in upselling rooms, food and beverage and any other revenue-generating products
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of market needs, trends, and behaviour changes in order to adopt proactive strategies
  • Actively contribute towards achieving the Revenue plan objectives
  • Monitor customer feedback
  • Meet any other request given by the Director of Sales/Sales Manager.
Educational and skill requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the EU and preferably already residing in Malta
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the hospitality sector
  • Knowledge of the local market with Leisure Groups, MICE and local DMCs will be considered as an asset.
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German or French will be considered an asset.
  • Able to work independently with high motivation but also thrive on being part of the team.
  • Very well organised, analytical, and smart in appearance
  • Excellent customer service skills, both personal and over the phone
  • Good working knowledge of Hotel Management Systems and their various reservations functions/reporting 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Own Transport
