Senior Flight Dispatcher

Our client is one of the leaders in Business Aviation, Transaction and Completion services. Headquartered in Switzerland, with a global presence around the world, the company delivers World-class Swiss-made business aviation services - aircraft sales and acquisitions, aircraft operations and charter management, cabin interiors, maintenance and upgrades.

They are looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join the team in Malta.


Key responsibilities:

  • Flight scheduling (overflight / landing permits, handling and fuel arrangements, additional supplementary services)
  • Flight dispatch and operations control (flight planning, crew briefing, meteo, space weather and NOTAM analyses, movement control, crew control, irregularity handling, emergency response)
  • Airport and Route analyses and feasibility checks to support commercial and flight operations department
  • Cost analysis and liaison with the accounting team
  • Liaison with the AOC team
  • Ground operations activities
  • Operational administration
  • Crew notification
  • Administrative duties relevant for flight dispatch department
  • Liaison between the Customer and the Company internal department to match Customer's expectations


Qualifications and experience shall include:

  • 5+ years of experience in a VIP flight dispatch environment, with worldwide flight operations (dispatch certificate or dispatch license as well as ETOPS experience are an asset)
  • Good knowledge of US commercial and private operations, including TSA waivers, DOT approvals, FAA notifications, eAPIS filing, and CBP clearance
  • Ability to interpret weather and NOTAM information as well as airport/airspace NAV charts
  • Familiarity with aircraft performance (preferably with wide-bodied aircrafts), international regulations, EASA rules, operations manual (OM) and flight entry requirements
  • Team-oriented, with flexible approach and able to provide solid results under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages will be preferred.
  • IT skills/experience in use of dispatch related software - flight planning systems (i.e. Fore Flight), SITA/AFTN communications, sched/ops control systems, FL3XX and MS Office applications
  • Willingness to work on shifts (incl. the night shifts)
