Position Overview
The Travel Coordinator / Clerk supports day-to-day travel arrangements for staff, trainees, and corporate travelers. Reporting to the senior Travel Officer, the role provides hands-on assistance with bookings, documentation, logistics, and client communication, ensuring accuracy, timely service, and a seamless travel experience. This role is ideal for a junior or early-career professional with travel experience who is eager to grow in a structured, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with flights, accommodation, transfers, and other travel logistics.
- Prepare and issue reservations, tickets, itineraries, and travel documents via GDS platforms.
- Handle amendments, cancellations, rebookings, and special requests.
- Maintain booking records, confirmations, and travel documentation.
- Support reporting, data collection, and administrative tasks.
- Communicate travel details clearly and assist travelers with queries or issues.
- Collaborate with the senior Travel Officer to ensure smooth operations, especially during peak periods.
Requirements
- Experience in travel or hospitality (travel agency, airline, GDS booking, or aviation customer service).
- Familiarity with Amadeus or similar GDS systems preferred; IATA certification is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and willing to learn.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; additional language skills are a plus.
