Sous Chef

Seeking to recruit a talented and experienced Sous Chef to work in a renowned French oriented franchise. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in French cuisine and a deep passion for delivering authentic and high-quality French dishes.

As Sous Chef, you need to follow Franchise SOPs and recipes, and oversee kitchen operations, ensure the preparation and presentation of dishes meet our high standards, and manage a team of kitchen staff. Must have good communicational skills, experience with international Franchises will be considered an asset.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Ensuring promptness, freshness, and quality of dishes.
Coordinating Chef tasks.
Implementing hygiene policies and examining equipment for cleanliness.
Following recipes, planning events and function menus.
Reviewing staffing levels to meet service standards, operational, and financial objectives.
Training kitchen staff according to Franchise SOPs, such as, junior sous chefs, chef de parties and commis.
Performing administrative tasks like stock control, food cost and purchases.
Setting and monitoring performance standards.
Obtaining feedback from Front of House regarding guest feedback.

Educational and skill requirements

Culinary degree or equivalent experience
Experience in managing kitchen staff, including training and development
High level of knowledge and expertise in food preparation and culinary techniques
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure without compromising quality
Strong leadership and communication skills
Professional proficiency in English and any other language knowledge would be considered a big asset.
Proven track record of successfully managing a kitchen and delivering high-quality food
Experience working with Franchises and International cuisines.
Familiarity with HACCP standards.
