StiLLeL Retreat / SkyLounge a distinguished hotel and restaurant venue in Saint Paul's Bay, Malta, is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Leadership: Assisting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

  • Team Supervision: Overseeing and mentoring kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

  • Menu Development: Contributing to the creation and development of innovative menus that delight our guests.

  • Quality Control: Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.

  • Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.

  • Event Coordination: Working closely with the events team to plan and execute special events and banquets.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Creative culinary skills and a passion for food

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
