Internship Description:
A fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door with a global company in the educational travel/tourism industry! As an intern in the Student Services team, you will be focused on always delivering great service to our students by providing product and service information, resolving product and service problems with an outcome that the student appreciates, and ensuring each student experience with EC exceeds their expectations.
Upon completion, you will then be certified by an EC Certificate of Completion. Above all, it is a great opportunity to interact with people from various countries / cultures and to practice written and spoken business English. Your internship will be based in sunny Malta.
Key Learning Tasks:
- Act as the first point of contact and advisor for all students and visitors to the Centre, ensuring they are all dealt with courteously and professionally, providing the necessary advice and assistance, and effectively dealing with any requests and feedback.
- Work with the Student Services Coordinators to help manage the reception and/or the Accommodation Manager.
- Ensuring company and regulatory procedures are followed accurately and promptly including student immigration requirements and statutory procedures.
- Ensuring the smooth delivery of student “firsts” including the operational aspects of the student’s first day with other members of the team.
- Assist in some of the activities being organised by the Centre (these can take place during the evening and weekend).
- Provides general administrative and record-keeping support for the Centre as directed by the line manager.
- Other related duties as assigned by the line manager.
Experience Required:
- Customer Service experience
- Working in a multicultural environment
Experience Desired:
- Has personally travelled as a language student
- Customer Service experience within an EFL context
