Tax Advisor

Meliteh Recruiting is on the lookout for a motivated and knowledgeable Tax Advisor to join our client’s growing team on a full-time basis.

This role offers the opportunity to provide expert tax advice, ensure compliance with income tax legislation, and contribute to the client’s business development initiatives.

Role Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant or lawyer
• Basic knowledge of Maltese income tax-related matters
• Willingness to grow and specialize in the field of direct taxation
• Results-driven with excellent planning and organizational skills
• Strong ability to work on their own initiative
• Excellent command of English
• Analytical with good problem-solving skills, ensuring high-quality service delivery
• A team player who collaborates effectively with other departments to provide client solutions

Main Duties:

• Research, analyze, and interpret changing tax legislation in Malta and internationally
• Assist with reviewing and/or preparing documentation related to changes in the capital structure of corporate entities, such as share transfers, allotments, and increases in share capital
• Provide tax advice, including drafting and reviewing tax memos on domestic and international tax matters
• Attend client meetings and ensure clients remain compliant with income tax legislation
• Advise on tax residence and domicile matters, as well as succession planning
• Assist with group restructurings and business development initiatives
• Plan work to ensure deadlines are consistently met
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver comprehensive client solutions
