Accounts Executive - Construction

We are currently looking for an Accounts Executive to join our dynamic team. Be part of our latest expansion and upcoming project in St. George's Bay, Malta. The Job

We’re looking for someone passionate about delivering high-quality service. As part of the day-to-day duties, s/he will be responsible for reconciling banks, credit card accounts, intercompany balances, and others. S/he will be responsible for compiling daily revenue reports, liaising with suppliers, and liaising with the rest of the team to help in the day-to-day problem-solving. Apart from the day-to-day duties s/he will also be responsible for any other administrative duties and ad hoc reporting as required by the Financial Controller.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Compiling daily revenue reports and reconciling of revenue
  • Inputting of General Invoices
  • Posting of Key Accounting Entries
  • Reconciliation of Bank Accounts
  • Reconciliation of Credit Card Accounts
  • Reconciliation of Control Accounts
  • Reconciliation of Intercompany balances
  • Preparing and Compiling Accrual and Prepayments
  • Liaising with operations to obtain confirmation of Invoices and Contracts
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve issues
  • Assisting Billing in issuing reports & projections
  • Ad hoc liaising with reservations & Front desk departments
  • Ad Hoc reporting as required by the Financial Controller
  • Filing in statutory statistics forms such as NSO and MHRA.
Educational and skill requirements
  • Minimum experience of 2 years in Accounting and an O’ Level or A’ Level standard in Accounts is a must
  • Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset
  • Proven work experience in a similar position in an accounting office
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written)
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Shireburn accounting software will be considered an asset
