Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to our guests, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Prepare and serve beverages:
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.
- Develop and suggest new cocktail recipes.
- Ensure proper garnishing of drinks.
- Customer service:
- Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner.
- Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
- Provide recommendations and answer questions regarding drinks.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any issues or complaints.
- Bar maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
- Follow health and safety regulations.
- Financial transactions:
- Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Balance cash receipts and manage the cash register.
- Team collaboration:
- Work closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure a smooth operation.
- Assist in training new bar staff as needed.
- Work closely with the other departments to ensure a streamlined experience
- Event support:
- Assist with private events and functions held at the restaurant.
- Prepare special drinks for events as required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender in a high-end restaurant or bar.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Personal attributes:
- Friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certifications:
- A valid bartending license or certification is preferred or equal experience
- Knowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations
