The Spa Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and guest experience of the spa. This role ensures exceptional service standards, manages staff, oversees daily operations, drives revenue, and maintains a relaxing, high-quality spa environment. The Spa Manager works closely with management to develop business strategies, promote services, and maintain profitability while ensuring outstanding client satisfaction.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily spa operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
- Manage spa scheduling, bookings, and treatment availability
- Ensure all spa equipment and facilities are properly maintained
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies, retail products, and treatment materials
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise spa therapists and support staff
- Create staff schedules and manage shift planning
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
- Ensure staff follow service protocols and customer care standards
Customer Experience
- Ensure all guests receive exceptional service and a welcoming spa experience
- Handle client feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally
- Maintain strong relationships with returning clients
- Ensure treatment quality and consistency across all services
Sales & Revenue
- Develop strategies to increase spa revenue and retail sales
- Promote spa packages, memberships, and seasonal offers
- Track sales performance and prepare reports for management
- Work with marketing teams to promote spa services and events
Financial Management
- Monitor budgets, expenses, and operational costs
- Ensure profitability of spa treatments and retail products
- Manage daily cash handling and financial reporting
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Maintain licensing requirements and industry standards
- Implement spa policies and operational procedures
- Diploma or certification in Spa Management, Hospitality, Beauty Therapy, or a related field
- Previous experience in spa, wellness, hospitality, or luxury service environments
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong understanding of spa treatments, products, and wellness services
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Sales and business development mindset
- Organizational and multitasking skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of spa software or booking systems is an advantage
