Role Overview
The Client Relationship Manager - Corporate Services will work closely with a team of professionals to deliver corporate, legal, accounting, and tax services to an international client base. This role involves liaising with banks, accounting firms, law firms, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clients remain compliant and that services are delivered efficiently and professionally. The position provides opportunities to develop expertise in corporate governance, client relations, and complex international corporate matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong business relationships with international clients, ensuring their compliance with all relevant authorities and providing exceptional corporate governance support.
- Corporate Compliance: Maintain statutory company registers, prepare and file statutory returns, and ensure all company secretarial obligations are met according to legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Project Coordination: Organise and oversee client requests, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
- Advisory Support: Assist clients with accounting, tax, legal, and corporate services, including drafting or reviewing agreements in collaboration with internal or external advisors.
- Due Diligence & Documentation: Conduct due diligence checks, collect relevant documentation, and liaise with regulators, service providers, and other stakeholders as required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: Degree or professional qualification in law, accounting, taxation, or corporate services.
- Experience: Minimum of four years in a legal or corporate services firm, ideally in Malta or within an international environment, with experience in accounting, tax, corporate law, or corporate services.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required; knowledge of other languages such as Italian, German, French, or Spanish is an asset.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate views clearly in both written and verbal formats; capable of managing expectations and handling complex situations professionally.
- Interpersonal Skills: Confident, approachable, and capable of building trust-based relationships with clients and colleagues in a collaborative team environment.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of corporate governance, compliance, accounting and tax practices, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Organisation: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple client projects and statutory deadlines efficiently.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive, highly driven, and able to anticipate client needs while taking ownership of service delivery.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical thinker with the ability to find practical solutions to challenging tasks and contribute to process improvements.
