Role Overview
The Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in delivering timely and accurate financial insights to support decision-making across the Business. This position involves preparing management accounts, analysing financial performance, contributing to budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Management Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and detailed analytics in line with internal reporting schedules and company policies.
• Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyse variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, providing actionable insights and recommendations to management.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts in collaboration with departmental leaders.
• Ledger & Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial records.
• Performance Monitoring: Support the preparation of financial reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards for both business unit and group-level review.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: Fully qualified accountant.
• Experience: Proven experience in accounting roles with exposure to management accounting and financial analysis, preferably within the food and beverage or related sectors.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, capable of presenting financial information clearly to stakeholders.
• Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and departments.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Organisation: Exceptional organisational and time management skills to meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative and the drive to improve financial processes and support team objectives.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
