Compliance Executive

• Assisting the Risk and Compliance Department to raise awareness on compliance an
• A recognised bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance, Law

The Compliance Executives will mainly be responsible for the below:

1. Client onboarding including the review of due diligence documentation as per local regulations;
2. Carrying out periodic reviews of existing client relationships and structures;
3. Assisting the Risk and Compliance Department to raise awareness on compliance and risk related matters;
4. Assistance with the updating of internal AML/CFT compliance manuals, policies, procedures and systems;
5. Assisting the Risk and Compliance Department to raise awareness on compliance and risk related matters;
6. Assistance with opening of bank accounts and liaison with the bank and clients as the need arise; and
7. Undertaking other duties from time to time as may be agreed with the Head of Risk and Compliance.

Requirements

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic, who have a keen interest and basic understanding of Risk and Compliance.
The preferred candidates for this position will be professionals who possess:

1. A recognised bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance, Law, Criminology or a relevant related field of study;
2. 1-2 year proven work experience in risk and compliance, especially within a financial services environment would be considered an asset;
3. Working knowledge of the laws governing the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism in Malta, the FIAU Implementing Procedures, the relevant EU legislation, and the international standards;
4. Strong interpersonal skills and team building qualities;
5. High standard of written and spoken business English;
6. Motivation with a strong work ethic;
7. Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team; and
8. Be proactive, reliable and highly organised.
