Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Corporate Tax Specialist to join a collaborative team within the airline sector. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on Maltese and international tax matters, support compliance and audits, and contribute to strategic tax initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Local Tax Advice: Provide ongoing guidance on Maltese corporate and employment tax matters and their impact on wider business activities.
• Corporate Tax Compliance: Oversee corporate tax provisioning for Maltese-based entities within the Group.
• International Expansion Support: Analyse potential international locations for business expansion and provide tax insights to inform decision-making.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with external advisors, tax authorities, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance.
• Project and Audit Support: Assist with direct and indirect tax compliance, prepare transfer pricing documentation, support audits, and contribute to the implementation of tax strategy.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: University degree in finance, accounting, or tax.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–4 years post-qualification experience in international taxation, ideally within a large accountancy firm or PLC environment. Prior experience in the aviation sector is advantageous.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required; proficiency in Italian, French, or German is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to convey complex tax information clearly to colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Interpersonal Skills: Effective collaborator, able to contribute proactively in a team-oriented setting.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in Maltese and international tax, corporate tax compliance, and transfer pricing.
• Organisation: Able to manage multiple matters simultaneously, prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-Motivated: Proactive, reliable, and adaptable with the drive to deliver solutions independently.
• Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying issues and proposing practical tax solutions.
