Our Client is a boutique law firm with a person-first approach. They make legal work clear and manageable, partnering with clients across aviation and maritime transactions such as sales, registrations, leasing and financing, and supporting corporate needs including company formation, structuring, governance and ongoing advisory.

Role Overview
The Corporate Lawyer will form part of a collaborative and professional legal team, providing corporate and commercial legal services within the aviation and maritime sectors. This hybrid role offers flexibility and exposure to diverse legal areas, including company law, compliance, and regulatory frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents while providing expert guidance to clients. This position offers strong potential for career growth and development within an expanding practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Corporate Legal Support: Provide advice and assistance on company formation, governance, restructuring, and compliance matters.
• Transaction Management: Oversee the legal aspects of aviation and maritime transactions, including sales, registrations, leasing, and financing.
• Document Drafting: Prepare, review, and amend contracts, resolutions, agreements, and other corporate documentation.
• Client Advisory: Act as a key point of contact for clients, offering practical and solutions-driven legal advice in a professional and approachable manner.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices within the aviation and maritime industries.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: A university degree in Law and a valid warrant to practise in Malta.
• Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in company law, corporate services, or a legal environment, ideally with exposure to aviation or maritime law.
• Driving License: A valid driving license is required.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English and Maltese is required to succeed in this role.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for drafting precise and clear documentation.
• Interpersonal Skills: Confident, mature, and approachable professional with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Organisation: Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Self-Motivated: Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a proactive and positive attitude.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to identify practical solutions to complex legal issues.
