Role Overview
Our Client is looking to appoint a commercially minded and experienced Finance Manager to join its organisation during a significant phase of transformation and growth. - Finance Operations Management: Take ownership of the day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across all accounting processes.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare timely monthly management accounts and financial statements to support business decision-making.
- Cash Flow & Performance Monitoring: Track liquidity, working capital, and overall financial performance, ensuring effective financial planning and control.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Enhance budgeting and forecasting processes to improve accuracy and support strategic planning.
- Internal Controls: Review, strengthen, and maintain robust internal control systems across all financial activities.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate existing finance processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Systems Implementation: Support the adoption and integration of new financial systems, tools, and reporting technologies.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to statutory obligations, accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal policies.
- Audit Coordination: Lead and manage the annual audit process, ensuring full compliance and timely completion.
- Tax & Statutory Returns: Prepare VAT submissions, tax reports, and other regulatory filings as required.
- Financial Analysis: Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operational teams to improve financial transparency and business efficiency.
- Reporting Structures: Assist in designing and implementing improved reporting frameworks and performance tracking tools.
- Change Support: Support management during organisational changes and contribute to transformation initiatives.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and introduce stronger controls and monitoring mechanisms.
- Team Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the finance team where necessary.
- Education: Fully qualified ACCA warranted Accountant.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance position within the FMCG sector.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Confident in building relationships across departments and working effectively with senior management and operational teams.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial reporting, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and management accounting practices.
- Organisation: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Self-Motivated: Driven, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative in a changing and challenging environment.
