Operations Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing customers while acting as a key point of contact for operational and service-related matters.
• Business Development Support: Identify potential commercial opportunities, follow up on new leads, and contribute towards the growth of the Company’s client portfolio.
• Operational Coordination: Assist in overseeing logistics and service operations to ensure all activities are completed efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
• Quotations and Commercial Documentation: Prepare tailored proposals, quotations, and service agreements in line with client requirements and Company standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise closely with transport providers, international partners, and internal departments to support the seamless delivery of services.
• Performance Monitoring: Track operational progress, provide updates on ongoing activities, and report on business developments and client interactions.
• Client Visits and Presentations: Attend meetings with prospective and existing clients to present services, strengthen partnerships, and support commercial initiatives.
• Problem Resolution: Take a proactive approach in addressing operational challenges and customer concerns by identifying practical and timely solutions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: A qualification in business, logistics, shipping, or a related field would be considered an asset.
• Experience: Previous experience within operations, logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or a customer-focused commercial role would be advantageous.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities with the confidence to interact professionally with clients, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish trust-based relationships and work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Technical Skills: Good understanding of operational coordination, client servicing, and commercial processes, together with proficiency in standard office systems and reporting tools.
• Organisation: Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities within tight deadlines.
• Self-Motivated: A proactive and driven individual with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving: Capable of anticipating challenges, responding effectively under pressure, and implementing practical solutions in a timely manner.
