Housekeeper

We are seeking to recruit a Housekeeper to join our team on a full-time basis. The Employee’s responsibilities shall consist of general housekeeping duties across the Hostel premises.

Responsibilities

To clean, organise and maintain guest rooms and other common areas and to maintain a pleasant ambiance by meeting the Company’s tidiness and cleanliness standards through the Hostel;

To clean guest rooms mid-stay and after departure. Duties include, but are not limited to, making beds, replacing dirty linen and towels, restocking guest room amenities, removing garbage and picking up and returning laundry items.

Restrooms - Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.

Floors - Sweeps, mops, vacuums, floors using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners. Other floor work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.

Break rooms/Kitchenettes - Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc. Replenishes break room supplies.

Dust - Dusts furniture, equipment, partitions, etc.

Trash - Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.

Other Duties – Washes towels. Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaner. Washes walls and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, partitions, sills, etc.

To perform such other duties as are customarily performed by a Housekeeper and such other duties as assigned by the Employer.

Education and requirements

Fluency in the English language is a must.

Willing to work flexible hours depending on arrivals and departures.
