We are inviting applicants for Full Time employment for a Probation Officer

We are seeking a professional and compassionate Probation Officer to supervise and support individuals serving probation or community-based sentences. The successful candidate will assess clients' needs and risks, monitor compliance with court requirements, prepare reports, and work with individuals and relevant agencies to encourage rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Supervise individuals on probation, conduct regular meetings, and monitor compliance with court orders and probation conditions.
Assess individuals' risks, needs, circumstances, and progress and develop appropriate supervision or rehabilitation plans.
Prepare accurate case notes, assessments, progress reports, and recommendations for courts or relevant authorities.
Work with social services, law enforcement, rehabilitation providers, and other agencies to support clients and address risks or breaches of probation conditions.

Be fluent in English and/or Maltese
Be customer-oriented
Be willing to learn and work effectively as part of a team
