Public Area Attendant

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and hygiene of all public areas within the property. This role ensures that guests always experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Sweep the garden.
Vacuum all carpets.
Clean and monitor the spa for cleanliness.
Clean all windows in the reception area, including the restrooms; this includes cleaning sinks, toilets (inside and outside), wiping tiles, and cleaning doors (inside and outside).
Check all windows for fingerprints and clean as necessary.
Inspect the pool area, ensuring that clean towels are available and replacing any dirty ones.
Clean public restrooms by disinfecting sinks and toilets (inside and outside), wiping tiles, cleaning doors (inside and outside), and replenishing toilet paper and liquid soap as needed.
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Educational and skill requirements

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
Basic communication skills in English.
Flexible availability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Strong organizational skills.
Effective time management and reliability.
Positive attitude and professional appearance.
Commitment to excellent customer service.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.
