

Restaurant Manager
Position Overview
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the smooth daily operation of Danny’s — leading the front-of-house team, ensuring excellent guest experience, maintaining high service standards, and supporting the owner in driving consistency, growth, and team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Service

Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive, and consistent service.

Handle customer feedback professionally — resolve issues and highlight opportunities for improvement.

Maintain the signature Danny’s atmosphere: welcoming, energetic, and community-driven.
Team Leadership & HR

Lead, motivate, and support the FOH team to perform at their best.

Assign daily roles (floor, bar, terrace, runner, host) and ensure smooth workflow.

Train team members on service standards, menu knowledge, upselling, and guest interaction.

Maintain strong discipline, punctuality, grooming standards, teamwork, and professionalism.
Operations & Admin

Oversee daily setup of the restaurant — cleanliness, tables, bar, POS, music and ambience.

Monitor pace of service and coordinate with the kitchen to avoid bottlenecks.

Maintain ordering levels of FOH supplies (beverages, disposables, ice, cleaning products, etc.).

Manage cash-up, POS controls, and delivery platform operations when required.

Prepare weekly rosters that balance labour efficiency and business performance.
Brand Standards & Consistency

Ensure food presentation and service style match Danny’s brand identity.

Monitor cleanliness across FOH, restrooms, entrance and outdoor areas.

Maintain professional communication between FOH and kitchen.
Financial Awareness

Support the owner in reaching weekly revenue targets.

Promote upselling and suggestive selling techniques during service.

Minimise wastage and monitor portion control for drinks and FOH products.

Track staff cost percentage and adjust scheduling responsibly.
Requirements

Previous experience in restaurant management or supervisory hospitality role.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Professional, organised, reliable and solution-oriented attitude.

Ability to remain calm, confident and respectful under pressure.

Passion for hospitality, guest experience, and team success.

POS experience (Lightspeed is a plus, but not required).
