Senior Production Chef - Pastry, Larder & Savoury
Deguara Confectionery is a well-established family-run confectionery in Malta, known for fresh pastries, cakes, savoury items and catering.
We are looking for a hands-on, all-rounder Production Chef to join our production kitchen.
This is a key role - not just pastry - covering our pastry, larder, party food and pizza production.
Ideal for someone who likes variety and can work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Daily production of pastry items, cakes and desserts
- Preparation of larder section: savoury items, salads, cold platters
- Production of party food, finger food and catering platters
- Pizza preparation and production
- Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation standards
- Following food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
- Stock control, portioning and minimizing waste
- Working as part of a team to meet daily production schedules
Educational and skill requirements
- Previous experience as a Production Chef, Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie
- Experience in both sweet and savoury / larder production is a must
- Able to work in a high-volume production kitchen
- Reliable, organized and able to work early mornings
- Good team player with attention to detail
