Technician - Brewing

A new opportunity is available for the position of Technician at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc. The successful candidate will report to the respective Manager and will be tasked with executing technical work to the highest established standards within Brewing, Beer Processing and Water Treatment. Additionally, they will provide support for process and facility operations in accordance with Franchise and Lean Management requirements.

The selected candidate will:

• Perform planned maintenance on any type of plant and machinery in line with established quality and efficiency standards.
• Perform overhaul tasks of electrical/electronic, mechanical and pneumatic nature according to legislation and workmanship standards.
• Work on multiple manufacturing projects as required and planned.
• Diagnose faults through use of lean methodology by making use of instruction manuals, circuit diagrams and test gear equipment.
• Operate plant machinery to monitor their working conditions and reliability, carry out inspections determining level of repair/ maintenance/ overhaul required.
• Operate Process automation systems to help in the identification of trends and fault finding.
• Establish methods of testing and inspection on plant and equipment.
• Seek and propose continuous improvement in equipment functionality.
• Maintain highest level of safety, housekeeping, quality and accurate records at all times.
• Keep a maintenance record of all corrective and preventive maintenance activities including spare parts.
• Fill in reports and activity sheets.

The selected candidate will be required to:

• Have, as minimum, an MQF Level 4/5 qualification in Manufacturing/ Engineering
• coupled with relevant industry experience
• Possess good problem-solving skills
• Be ICT literate
• Be prepared to work on a 3 shift schedule, which includes night shift and overtime when required
• Wireman Licence A and B will be considered an asset.
• Work well as a good team-player within the maintenance team
