About Our Client

Role Overview

Heroix is collaborating with our Client within the banking and financial services sector to recruit a Treasury Analyst. Working within the Asset and Liability Management function and reporting to a Senior Analyst, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of investment and funding plans, evaluate credit exposures and examine the organisation’s liquidity, foreign currency and interest rate risk positions.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Committee Reporting: Gather financial information and performance indicators from relevant business areas, interpret emerging patterns and help prepare the monthly materials and recommendations presented to the Asset and Liability Committee.
  • Investment Appraisal: Evaluate the creditworthiness of prospective investments before their inclusion within the institution’s own investment holdings.
  • Portfolio Credit Reviews: Reassess existing financial-sector and corporate exposures at scheduled intervals, producing internal credit ratings to support solvency requirements and the allocation of capital.
  • Treasury Governance: Contribute analytical input to the review of treasury-related frameworks covering areas such as collateral, liquidity, funding, interest rate exposure, contingency arrangements and recovery planning.
  • Balance Sheet Risk Analysis: Monitor and assess developments affecting credit exposure, cash availability, foreign currency positions and sensitivity to movements in interest rates.
  • Interest Rate Risk Modelling: Assist with improving, administering and maintaining the data, systems and models used to measure interest rate risk.
  • Treasury Performance: Analyse the results generated by treasury-managed assets and translate findings into useful observations for senior decision-makers.
  • Deposit Analysis: Examine customer deposit behaviour, including changes in market position, funding costs and maturity patterns.
  • Liquidity and Securities: Assess the composition and quality of liquid assets, the suitability of securities for repurchase arrangements, including central bank operations, and broader balance sheet movements.
  • Capital Planning: Review changes in the risk weighting of managed assets and prepare forward-looking estimates of capital requirements.
  • Market and Regulatory Monitoring: Track economic, investment and regulatory developments, evaluate their potential effect on funding and investment decisions, and communicate significant developments to senior management.
  • Project Support: Participate in treasury and balance sheet initiatives, including projects introduced in response to evolving supervisory obligations.
  • Invoice Administration: Support the processing of third-party departmental invoices and maintain orderly records of supplier agreements and related payments.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities reasonably associated with the position as business requirements evolve.

  • Minimum Academic Eligibility: Unless already holding a qualification at MQF Level 6 or above, applicants must possess at least four O-Level passes at Grade 5/C or better, one of which must be English Language.
