Role Overview

As a Junior Tax Executive, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tax advisory projects, providing valuable support to experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities

Project Support: Assist in delivering tax advisory projects, covering areas like international tax optimization, asset protection, and estate planning.
Legislative Awareness: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and advise clients on potential impacts to their businesses.
Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns, refund applications, and other required documentation.
Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with the Inland Revenue Department and International Tax Unit on behalf of clients.
Content Creation: Contribute to the development of articles, newsletters, and marketing materials related to tax topics.
File Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Education: Bachelor's degree in accountancy, law, or a related field, with a specialisation in taxation preferred.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a tax-focused environment.
Desirable Qualifications: Further tax specialisation (Masters in Tax, ADIT, MIT Tax Specialisation) is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of Maltese tax legislation, with income tax knowledge highly advantageous.
Software Proficiency: Comfortable working with standard software packages (MS Office).
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting and build strong relationships.
Professional Ethics: Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards.
Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, think creatively, and maintain attention to detail.
