Operations Manager

We're looking for an energetic, highly organised Operations Manager to take charge of our production floor and the fulfillment of every order that leaves it. You'll own the process end to end – from planning production runs and keeping the workshop running smoothly, through to making sure finished pieces are picked, packed and shipped accurately and on time.

This is a hands-on leadership role at the centre of a growing, creative business, with real scope to build better processes as we grow.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day running of the production workshop, from raw clay through to finished, glazed pieces.
• Lead and motivate production staff, assigning clear daily schedules and production targets.
• Monitor kilns, wheels and equipment, and manage maintenance and repair schedules.
• Oversee the full order fulfillment process, from order confirmation through to dispatch, ensuring every order is accurate, complete and shipped on time.
• Manage finished-goods inventory and stock levels across retail, wholesale and online sales channels.
• Coordinate with couriers and shipping partners on domestic and international deliveries.

Educational and skill requirements:

• Have experience in a similar production, operations or fulfillment management role.
• Be hands-on, adaptable and flexible.
• Be hard-working, self-motivated and responsible.
• Be a natural communicator, skilled at building relationships with staff, suppliers and customers.
• Be a confident problem solver, comfortable making decisions under pressure.
• Have excellent organisational skills and a close eye for detail.
• Have an advanced level of computer literacy, including inventory or order-management systems.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
