Role Overview
In collaboration with Heroix, the Company is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Manager to take on a key leadership role within its Malta-based corporate services function. This is a senior position suited to a seasoned professional who combines strong technical knowledge with proven people management skills and is motivated by autonomy, responsibility, and strategic involvement in a growing international practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Corporate Managers, ensuring high standards of service delivery, professional development, and knowledge sharing across the department.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a senior point of contact for international clients and their representatives, building trusted relationships and ensuring a consistent, professional client experience.
- Technical Oversight and Review: Provide guidance, review work, and act as an escalation point for complex corporate, governance, and compliance matters, both internally and with clients.
- Operational Planning and Performance: Drive departmental performance through effective planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement, supporting the Business’s growth objectives.
- Regulatory and Compliance Awareness: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local corporate, regulatory, and compliance obligations, working closely with internal compliance functions to ensure adherence to applicable requirements.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with external advisers such as banks, law firms, and professional service providers in multiple jurisdictions to support client needs and operational efficiency.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
- Education: A degree or professional qualification in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Significant experience within corporate services, with strong exposure to international clients and a background in corporate law and governance. Proven experience in a managerial or senior supervisory role is essential.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
- Communication Skills: Clear, confident, and professional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, senior stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong people management abilities, with a collaborative leadership style and the capacity to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of corporate services operations, governance frameworks, and regulatory obligations, with the ability to apply technical knowledge pragmatically.
- Organisation: Highly organised, with strong planning and prioritisation skills to manage multiple portfolios, deadlines, and team responsibilities.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive and independent, with the drive to take ownership of responsibilities and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical and solutions-focused, capable of addressing complex issues and guiding teams through challenges effectively.
