The Business manages projects from inception to completion, delivering design, construction, and ongoing support to ensure efficient, compliant, and sustainable solutions across pharmaceutical, industrial, and commercial sectors.

Role Overview
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will independently lead and execute engineering activities related to HVAC and black utilities systems within EPCM projects. This role involves technical design, site inspections, supplier coordination, and team management to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design: Prepare all technical documentation, P&IDs, and system layouts for HVAC and black utilities projects.
• Calculation & Dimensioning: Perform calculations and dimensioning for ductwork and piping networks to ensure optimal system performance.
• Cost & Material Management: Produce bills of quantities, material take-offs, and technical reports, including requests for quotes and evaluation of supplier bids.
• Site Coordination: Conduct site inspections and field surveys, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
• Team & Supplier Management: Coordinate HVAC and black utilities specialists, drafters, and external suppliers to deliver seamless project execution.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• Experience: Significant experience in technical design offices or engineering companies, preferably within the industrial or pharmaceutical sector.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. Knowledge of Italian is advantageous; other languages are a plus.
• Driving License: A valid driving license, Category B is required.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Interpersonal Skills: Effective in managing teams and collaborating with multi-disciplinary functions.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in HVAC systems, hot/chilled water, steam, condensate, compressed air, drainage, and other industrial and civil black utilities. Knowledge of fire suppression systems, EPCM design activities, GEP, and construction technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk AutoCAD; Autodesk Revit is advantageous.
• Organisation: Skilled in managing multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
• Self-Motivated: Capable of working independently and taking initiative in technical and project-related matters.
• Problem-Solving: Able to analyse issues and implement effective solutions across design, site, and supplier challenges.
