Shipping Administrator

Reporting to the Shipping Manager, the Shipping Administrator supports the Farsons Group’s shipping activities, ensuring the accurate, timely and compliant processing of shipping and related supply chain processes.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Process and submit shipping, customs and excise documentation and declarations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely shipment clearance.
Liaise with Customs/Excise, shipping and clearing agents, port authorities and other stakeholders to facilitate import/export activities.
Ensure the correct application of HS/BCRS codes, excise duties, tariffs and applicable taxes, including the management of the wine banderol process.
Coordinate shipping costs, freight and insurance, including obtaining quotations and related activities.
Maintain accurate records and shipping systems, while supporting urgent shipments and identifying opportunities to improve processes and minimise costs.

Educational and skill requirements

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in a similar role is required, together with an MQF Level 4/5 qualification in a relevant field.
Organised, detail-oriented and accurate, with strong administrative skills.
Proactive and deadline-oriented, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of customs, excise and shipping procedures will be considered an asset.
