Role Overview
Our Client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit & Assurance Executive to join its growing audit practice. Reporting directly to experienced Audit Seniors, the successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of audit assignments across diverse industries. This role offers a hands-on, practical foundation in auditing, ideal for individuals either beginning their ACCA qualification or those with prior experience in audit or accounting. It’s a strong opportunity for early-career professionals looking to gain exposure, grow their technical capabilities, and develop within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities

Audit Execution: Conduct audits of financial statements in accordance with applicable auditing standards (e.g., ISA, GAAS).

Audit Planning: Plan and perform audit fieldwork.

Control Testing: Perform testing of internal controls and substantive audit procedures.

Documentation: Prepare working papers, documentation, and audit files in line with firm standards.

Issue Identification: Identify and communicate audit issues or findings to the team promptly.

Client Engagement: Participate in stock-takes, client meetings, and site visits as needed.

Information Gathering: Liaise with clients to gather information and clarify audit queries.

Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with internal policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Confidentiality Management: Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.

Professional Development: Continuously develop technical knowledge through training and on-the-job experience.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: A-Levels or equivalent qualifications in accounting, finance, or related fields. Actively pursuing ACCA, M.Accty, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience: Previous experience in an audit or accounting environment would be considered an asset but is not essential.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
- Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Interpersonal Skills: A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards.
- Organisation: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
