We are currently looking for a Chef De Partie to join our team at db Group.
- Actively participate in the daily operations of a designated kitchen section, ensuring the timely and high-quality preparation of food.
- Prepare and cook dishes in line with established recipes and menu specifications, maintaining consistency and high presentation standards.
- Manage inventory for your section, including ordering, restocking, and ensuring proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of your workstation, including equipment, utensils, and surfaces, while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen sections and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service, timely dish delivery, and clear communication regarding special requests.
- Monitor food costs and portion control within your section, aiming to minimize waste and contribute to budgetary targets.
- Strictly follow food hygiene standards as outlined during training, with special attention to allergen management procedures.
- Conduct regular quality checks on food preparation and presentation to ensure all dishes meet the required standards before service.
- Supervise your section by coordinating tasks and managing workflow during peak service times.
- Mentor and guide Commis Chefs, ensuring they follow correct specifications and maintain quality and consistency.
- Previous Experience in the kitchen is a must.
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen preparation, various dishes, and cooking methods.
- Strong understanding of authentic ingredients and suitable substitutes.
- Must hold a valid food handler's license.
- Attention to detail and a passion for culinary innovation.
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays.
- Good verbal and written communication in English and any other language.
- Maintain a high level of personal hygiene.
- Conforms with hotels grooming standards.
