

Senior Support Officer
About the Function
The regulation and supervision of professional trustees and other fiduciaries fall within the remit of the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), which has a dedicated function responsible for both the authorisation and ongoing supervision of such persons. The primary objective of this function is to ensure that licensed trustees and fiduciaries maintain robust structures, systems, and controls to serve clients effectively, while also upholding their own reputation and that of Malta, in line with the jurisdiction’s international obligations. The Function is also responsible to maintain the trusts beneficial ownership register (TUBOR) updated and correct.
About the Role
In this role, you will join the Trustees Supervision team and be responsible for supporting the function with its core duties relating to the review of the conduct of relevant licence holders.
You will be expected to carry out the general handling of administration duties including but not limited to -
- Handling general office duties, including secretarial and other administrative support duties, depending on the requirements of the function.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless office operations and assisting with ad hoc tasks as needed.
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail and calls, scheduling meetings, and booking meeting rooms.
- Maintaining filing systems and databases, updating relevant websites, and archiving documents.
- Managing diaries and schedules.
- Assisting with the due diligence process for onsite inspections and handling Personal Questionnaires.
- Communicating with stakeholders regarding outstanding documentation and ensuring it is submitted accordingly.
- Managing and updating records, checklists, and information across various databases, including the collection and validation of data.
- Drafting emails and letters to external parties as directed.
- Preparing for and taking minutes of meetings as required.
- Conducting research, collecting data, and compiling reports as assigned.
You will also undertake any other duties as assigned by the Head and/or as may be required by the MFSA from time to time based on the exigencies of the Authority
About You
You will hold qualification in the relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 5 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least three (3) years working experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you. Candidates with longer working experience relevant to the role will be preferred.
