Role Overview

The Finance Analyst - Manufacturing will support the Finance Department in preparing, analysing, and communicating financial data to drive effective decision-making. This role involves managing budgets, forecasts, and reporting, while providing key insights to support the management team in maintaining cost control and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecasting and Budgeting: Prepare and assist with weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts and budgets for the EMEA entities.
• Financial Reporting: Manage monthly presentations and analytics of EMEA financial performance, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Variance Analysis: Share actual vs. budget reports with line managers to identify trends and implement cost control measures.
• Management Support: Assist the management team with financial analysis, planning, and other ad hoc duties as required.
• Cost Accounting and Investment Planning: Conduct standard cost accounting, cost feasibility analysis, and follow up on investment planning and budget execution.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: Minimum A-level in accounts or a related technical field, or at least 5 years’ work experience in accounting with demonstrated accomplishments in middle management.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance roles, ideally within an industrial or engineering environment.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required. Knowledge of Maltese would be an asset.
• Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Interpersonal Skills: Effective team player with excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in PC-based computing and financial software applications; methodical and detail-oriented approach to financial data.
• Organisation: Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Self-Motivated: Goal-oriented self-starter with initiative and flexibility.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse financial data and provide actionable insights.
