Moxy St. Julian's Malta, part of the world-renowned Marriott International brand, is looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our pre-opening team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious chef who is ready to take the next step in their culinary career and contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience in a dynamic hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen.
• Supervise and support the kitchen brigade during service.
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
• Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen team members.
• Help develop new menu items and maintain consistency across all dishes.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a hotel or high-volume restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for delivering outstanding food quality and guest satisfaction.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
