Projects Cost Controller

The group is distinguished and well established in the hospitality sector with its own branded db Seabank Resort and db San Antonio Hotel and within the leisure sector with its own branded Pearl Spa, Hardrock, and Starbucks development license and outlets, as well as its variety of established restaurants offering various cuisines.
We are currently looking for a Projects Cost Controller to join our dynamic team. Be part of our latest expansion and upcoming project in St. George's Bay, Malta. An exceptionally designed and built destination that includes a 5* Hard Rock Hotel, luxury homes, renowned restaurants and an upscale shopping mall that's set to add tremendous value to the local area.
We are currently looking for a Projects Cost Controller to join our dynamic team.
The Job
- Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Verify that the quantities, prices, and terms on the invoices align with the agreed terms.
- Obtain necessary approvals from project managers, procurement, and finance departments.
- Ensure that approvals are in line with the budget and project cost allocations.
- Reconcile supplier statements with company records to identify discrepancies.
- Liaising with suppliers to resolve any mismatches or disputes.
- Ad hoc reporting as required by the Financial Controller
- Handling day-to-day requirements within the Accounts department
Requirements
- Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset
- Minimum experience of 2 years in Accounting and an O’ level or A’ level standard in
Accounts is a must - Proven work experience in a similar position in an accounting office
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Acumatica accounting software will be considered an asset.
