Role Overview
Heroix is collaborating with a respected law and advisory practice to recruit a Court-Representation Lawyer to join their litigation team. This role requires a fully warranted lawyer to represent clients before Maltese courts and tribunals, combining courtroom advocacy with support in drafting and advisory work for commercial and civil matters. It is an ideal opportunity for a lawyer seeking both hands-on litigation experience and professional growth within a well-connected network.

Key Responsibilities

• Court Representation: Appear on behalf of clients in courts, tribunals, and regulatory proceedings.
• Document Preparation: Draft and submit court pleadings, filings, and related legal documentation accurately and on time.
• Contract and Opinion Support: Assist with reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements, and legal opinions.
• Client Engagement: Meet with clients to understand cases, advise on litigation strategy, and provide timely updates.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with office-based lawyers and administrative staff to ensure precise document preparation and follow-ups.
• Legislative Awareness: Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and case law to enhance advocacy and advice.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: Law Degree from the University of Malta. Fully warranted lawyer eligible to appear before Maltese courts.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in litigation or courtroom representation.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of both Matese and English is required.
• Communication Skills: Confident in courtroom advocacy and client interactions, with clear and persuasive written and oral communication.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build professional relationships with clients and colleagues, maintaining a collaborative approach.
• Technical Skills: Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical capabilities.
• Organisation: Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Self-Motivated: Eager to develop professional networks and grow within a dynamic legal environment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to assess cases, identify key issues, and develop effective litigation strategies.
