Data & Systems Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Data Reporting: Prepare and maintain regular reports that provide clear visibility on business performance indicators and operational activity.
• Data Analysis: Examine datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic and day-to-day decision-making.
• Performance Monitoring: Assist in tracking key performance metrics, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting across departments.
• Systems Support: Provide assistance with data-related queries and contribute to improving data integrity across internal systems.
• Dashboard Development: Support the creation and enhancement of visual reports and summaries to improve data accessibility for stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Education: A background in data-related studies, IT, business analytics, or a similar discipline is considered an advantage.
• Experience: Previous exposure to reporting, data handling, or analytical work would be beneficial, though not essential.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
• Communication Skills: Ability to present findings in a clear and structured manner, both verbally and in writing.
• Interpersonal Skills: Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and engaging with different stakeholders.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualisation. Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, SQL, or ERP/CRM systems will be considered an advantage.
• Organisation: Strong ability to manage tasks efficiently, prioritise workload, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Self-Motivated: Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within a data-focused environment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret information critically and propose logical solutions based on data findings.
